How much does my mustang weigh

RE: How much does my mustang weigh
With the vairance of options such as engine trans, and electrical items, plus how much of the car is still there, its a good idea to stop at a truck stop and drive it on a scale. It doesnt take much to find out what it weighs, you can even get out and see without you and with you.
If you are serious about drag racing, you MUST know what the number is. Its also a good idea to find out what each corner weighs with the car sitting level on the ground. Then you know where to move mass from and too so it will hook and drive straight.
Make as much power as possible, then get the car as light as possible. Then get it to hook, and usually it is a simple matter of bolting on sticky tires, losening the front end so it rises easy, not having the rear end lifted so the pinion angle isnt completely wacked. Keep it low and make the chassis work, not throw parts at it and hope it works, like traction bars. They are only needed if you have a wheelhop problem.
Less is more in a drag race, except for HP and TQ.
