just a suggestion...
trophymustang.com
cheapest shipping, no tax, and best prices.....plus never had a problem with them.........
Anyone else tried these guys?
what determines if you have to pay tax or not over there?

We are in a similar boat - mustang specialists who get most of their parts from Scott Drake. Expensive but knowledgeable. If i know wjhat I need I go direct via the internet to MU, NPD or Jegs. Here it is Repco for good quality mechanical parts and Sprints or Autopro for the crap that doesnt fit and usually fails straight after install.

npd over charges by 2-3 times its crazy
I paid maybe $15 more using NPD than Mustangs Unlimited on $130 worth of parts, but at least they responded to my request for a quote (which I have to do for international shipping) Mustangs Unlimited didn't reply at all!!

the downside for NPD was estimated $50 for freight... actual $80

I like the help i have had from Sacramento Mustang, but their prices are way too high.
another one is american-mustang.com

i'm 10 minutes from them.

anyone have anything to say about mustang depot?
ive had decent luck with mustangs unlimited... usually shipping in 3 days or less.
cal mustang takes too long being on the other side of the country.
NPD is good but expensive.

Hey, if you need a custom item for Mustang specific, then go to the Mustang vendors. They all carry the same stuff. Some of them have marketed themselves better than others, so they get more customers such as you guys. A part made in China is stilll a part made in China no matter which Mustang vendor you go with. Quit kidding yourselves that there are better parts among these Mustang vendors. They are all the same, but with different pricing schemes due to advertising. We can also argue the same question about whether or not Autozone, Pepboys or any other chain parts vendor is better than the other. Original parts are obviously better than aftermarket, but are getting harder and harder to find. I think we may be facing a parts crunch in a very few short years regarding out classics. Can you imagine owning a 1952 Ford F-100 pickup, and having to find a special part for it?

I used to use Autozone for alot of stuff, but have heard the same thing, junk. I went through a set of brake rotors in about 6 months. Paid twice as much for a set from Napa and they are still on the truck. A tranny guy I know said that they will only buy Napa at his shop. If they are forced to get the stuff elsewhere, it's always bad and they have them turned in their own shop before installing them....

NPD gave me the wrong torque box, which I drove to detroit to get (I live in Toronto), pissed me off, AND It was overpriced.. However, UNlimited doesn't respond to my quotes, so they lose all my business.. It's funny too, I write all the places, and especially Canadian Mustang, for quotes, usually over $1000.. And they don't respond to my emails, so I just go to Laurel Mountain.. There would be substantial profit increase if htey'd just respond to their emails.. Blew it now though.

I've liked MU so far, been a little slow on shipping but priced better than NPD. NPD was better on shipping but more expensive..... 6 of one half a dozen of the other....
