**** maaco!!!!!!!
The thing is though, if they are only getting 1000 for the paint job, then they aren't going to spend nowhere near as much time doing the prep work as they would if they were getting 5000. They are running a business and trying to make money and can only put in so much time to it for the amount of money you pay.
On my 66 Chevy, the paint alone (and primer) was more than 1000.... the moral of the story is to not go to maaco unless u have a rice burner or an 80's mustang which is like fords version of a ricer
could be a couple of things - poor surface prep in that you have foreign material on the surface and could also be that you have some chemical issues which would again be surface prep if they didn't get the sealer coat right.....so I would say that these types of issues would squarely fall under the heading of "prep and paint".
That said, Maaco is **** and for $1,100 bucks they are going to mask and paint - for this much money, a real paint shop couldn't even really do a "prep and paint" that was really just mask and tape. I am really surprised that you had a good experience with them before

Thanks for the comments and info. Could someone find me some good info or proof that the prep work caused the cracking and not my bondo work? It is the prep work that caused the cracks right? Or is it my bondo work? If I could get some good reasons as to why there are such large cracks in the paint I might be able to convince them to reshoot it. or at least get something out of them. I wish I had my camera with me to take some pics. I thought bondo only cracked over time?
To summarize the paint job there are basically very noticible cracks in the paint where I had done the body work. There are cracks on almost all the areas where I did the work too not just one area. So I am assuming it is the prep work.
So does anyoen have any proof or evidence that this is prep work?
I know I cant expect a perfect paint job but when I pay for prep work I expect there to be no cracks and **** coming through the paint.

not sure. I was thinking about that and I think I might have seen a small crack on the deflector. There was also rain drops all over the car because it was outside so I didnt get a good look at the whole car.
