rusty panels is what u need ford tooling for...so yeah...u can theoretically blame ford for using steel becuase it rusts...but really...so does every other car company so i dono....crashes...that would be operator error...the cowl thing was just stupid though.....
Damn corvettes[:@]

yeah i was gonna say that but then figured they got their own problems with pressure cracks and other stuff.....

Well Canada is an American country... So is Brazil if you check the map.. lol... As long as its close to being the right part i am happy. once you have to MAKE stuff for a car because there arent any repoductions made for it (*cough 67 Cougar quarters, fenders, doors,* cough* cough*) thenyou will appreciate having even a cheap knock off around so you can get your car back on the road again.

They could do a bit better though, i spent 4 hours today trying to get the inner splash aprons aligned so i can weld them in. Still need to fit the fenders before any final welding is done, cant do that untill the doors are on, its a vicious circle... Would be nice if they just bolted up and didnt require any extra cutting, bending, hammering, massaging, praying, crying, cussing, swearing, throwing stuff, head scratching, grinding, or just plain kicking the stupid thing untill it fits.

Yes, check SPI distribution, they make a lot of classic Mustang replacement parts. It seems they bought the Ford dies. POC, call 1-800-361-1714 and ask for Matt, he can tell you what is available. As for Chevy, "On a quiet night you can sit here and hear a Chevy rust.", or, the song by Da Yoopers, Rusty Chevrolet.

How do you know about that song? Da Yoopers are right down the road from me.. about half an hour away.. lol. If you heard Rusty Chevrolet, then you had to have heard the Chiquito song... it mentions the area i live in, Shelter Bay... lol..

BTW.. EVERYTHING rusts horribly up here. Two year old cars with holes in the fenders and hoods? Wow.. too much salt.

Thumpin I heard it many years ago while on Christmas Vacation at Shenandoah Crossing down here in Virginia. I finally got a copy of it by requesting it form a local station. No, I haven't heard the other one. As a Ford man and Chrysler man, I had to taunt several of my co workers with it. The only cars I ever saw rust from underneath the paint were mid 60s Chevies. BTW, I have owned vehicles from all of the big three, and one independent plus imports (Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar).
