Best Way To Remove Weatherstripping Adhesive
What's the best way to remove 40-yr old weatherstripping adhesive? I have some 3M Adhesive, Wax and Mark Remover, but that and a rag doesn't seem to really cut it. Can I use a brillo pad or light sandpaper or something. I'm not really worried about removing paint since the new weatherstripping will cover it up anyway. Is there a better chemical to use?
Thanks,

It seems that a Dremel with a fine wire brush does an even better job. Acetone wasn't cutting it so I decided to bring out the power tool. The acetone works well for the cleanup, but it wasn't putting a dent in the goo that was holding this stuff on.

I used a cordless 18.8 volt drill and a small wire wheel and it worked great! just watch your step till yu get the hang of it...speed, tendency to grab? and such,,the crap just flies off

The cool thing about the Dremel is that I can adjust the speed kind of low so I don't have to worry about it jumping too much. 40 yr old glue can be a real pain!
