Default Power Steering into a manual steering car?

I am going to swap the power steering from my67 into my 68, and I have a few questions for people that have dealt with the factory power steering systems on these cars.

I don't see how to remove the steering box from the column on the car with power steeering. Can anyone explain how to separate the two?

Can I use the column on the manual steering car with the power steering box and the rest of the assembly, or are the two columns different?

Does anyone have any general tips for doing this swap?

I believe the shaft on 67 is one piece from the gear all the way to the wheel, it may be possible to change out everything below the box, but i've never done that, so I may be way off. Maybe someone else will have a better idea.

I've taken quite a bit of it apart so far; the whole steering linkage is out of the car, and the column and steering box are just dangling. I have not figured out how to separatethe two, but I can tell you that I cannot see how the column and box would be installed unless they come apart somehow. That is, unless the entire car was built around it
