Timelockmind, thak you for the information I have a 66 FB and I will like to be able to inspect or replace the hoses if necessary, but probably the rear seats and the side panels have to be remove to get to it, it will be a hell of a job.

Unfortunately it is a very difficult job if your interior is in place. After talking to my shop guys I am convinced that it is worth doing. They showed me a fastback without drain hoses. It was scary - internally the sides were covered with rust.

Next to the cowl and window seals, I suspect this is the greatest area ofvulnerability for water damage over an extended period of time.

It's interesting to note that many of the fastbacks they see do not have the drain hoses. I guess if they were in bad shape the mechanics just threw them out since there were no replacements.

well it looks like I have something else to add to my list of parts needed, I didn't know about those hoses and I know I don't have any in my car. since I've had it apart before and wood have noticed them there.

Surely, one of you guys can come up with a reproduction model by finagling hoses and connectors, etc. I know I could if I had a fastback with no drain hose, and the only one available was from a donor car that Ididn't have. Hell, I may even experiment with PVC pipe since there are a bazillion ways you can put different sized parts together with that stuff.

Depending on the flanges at the top and bottom silicon hoses and tiewrap/worm screw clips should work, go to some science supply place colepalmer.com and they should have yards of silicon tubing cut to length sell on ebay as new repro fastback side vent drains $60 per pair andwrite a story alongthese lines "Your fastback is rusting in front of your eyes and you don't know about it....."
