Default 1967 289 shifter/ clutch

Is there any kind of short throw shifter or race clutch that would fit in my 67 289 3 speed on the floor. If so which one is the best and where do i get it. How much?

There a shifter that is back farther which is easyer to shift. Mustangs unlimted has them. I think the cost about $120. What kind of racing do you want to do?

I'm pretty sure Hurst still makes three speed shifters for early Mustangs. They are a vast improvement over a stock shifter.

It's a fairly easy installation. Much easier than a T5 conversion.

Write or call Hurst (Mr. Gasket), they should be able to answer your questions.
