Default Eleanor Engine??

I've always loved Mustangs of course and lately I have been somewhat obsessed with the idea of working 24/7 and building a 1967 Mustang GT 500 "Eleanor" replica from the movie Gone In 60 Seconds. I saw a video on youtube and by the end of it I was drooling on my keyboard. You can check out the video here-

My question to you all now is this...do you know what type of engine they used for the car in the movie or the one on the video?? My first dilemma will be finding the '97 Fastback now...

I think they used all aluminum Roush motors. Unique motorsports webpage will tell you everthing you need to know

yeah like when they put that skyline i6 motor in the mustang in tokyo drift, they couldnt get the car to slide sideways with that motor in it i think they dropped a 408 in or somethin like that to get that thing to go! just throw a big block in there and modify the ***** outa it! (if your going to do what the movie did just use a bottle and go from 120 - 160 in 3 seconds!)

I think in the movie one had a 351w, the rest I believe were 302's. As far as the price skyrocketing, look across the board, most ALL classics (mainly muscle cars) have skyrocketed however it looks like they are starting to adjust a little (interest rates up, collectables down) some guys buy and sell these like stock. If you want a E-clone, then build it, a 351w or 302 will fit nicely. And if you want to be crazy, try a 427 or Modular with a huffer.

that remake is the reason the 67/68 fastbacks have shot up in price dynacorn makes a brand new shell for like 15k . id buy a coupe they are cheaper in price and weight less. btw you need to see the real gone in 60 sec from 1974 eleanor is a yellow 73 mach1 in that
