So, it's raining a bit over here.

Just a little.

So, I was out, in the dark, with no flashlight, and I was trying to pull the rear fender extensions off the car. So, I get the d/s one off (it only had one bolt holding it in) and I start on the other one. I feel where the one bolt on top is, than I check to see if there is another. Can't find a second one. So, I pull the bolt off and the thing won't move. %$#%$#%$#%$#%$#%$#%$#!!!!!!!

I'm feeling around in there for ANYTHING theat slightly resembles a hex. Nada. So, I says to myself, dammit! I need some light!

Wish granted.

In the form of one of the most ginormous lightning bolts I've seen in a long long time. Lit EVERYTHING up like the Forth of July! I could count the leaves on the trees down the block it was so bright. Well, three guesses what that wonderous light brought. Rain drops the size of marbles! Pegging me while I'm trying to find the last bolt (which the light unfortunatly didn't help me find, even as bright as it was!). I finally found it, but it wasn't a 3/8 like the rest had been. Go one size down. Nope. Too small. Try the 3/8 again. Too big. I'm running back and forth in the downpour trying to find the right size socket. Finally I decide, it's gotta be metric (Why does it have to be metric? Why not? Everything else on the car is back asswards, why shouldn't this be?) So I get my trusty 12mm. Right on it goes and right off the bolt comes.

#*$&#*$&*$&*&$$#&*&$#*#&am p;!!!!

Now, I am soaked, sitting in the library of the hospital. Waiting for my GF to get out so I can change into somedry clothes and go to bed.

Life is grand!

(For info on how I really feel about life, read my sig. It's agoodphilosophy to hold onto.)

Yep. Trying. Gots a few more things to go. Leaving the 'rents the blessing of getting rid of the beast, if it don't sell on eBay first. 99ยข, No Reserve, pick up only auction. ****, I'd need to at least make enough to cover the cost of the title, but I can take a loss. LOL!!

Be careful with that extension, it's mine. At least I got a weather report and a progress report in the same message. And Tony, it was 77 today in the SF Bay area.

Hey, it was about 70-ish today. It was a warm rain. I'll be bringing everything to the post office in the morning for ya.You're gonna wanna get new hardware for those extensions tho. The crap I had on there was just that. Maybe it's better that I'm parting this thing instead of making a fool out of myself trying to fix everything the PO's ruined! LOL!!

I never siad I minded the rain, just that I had one heck of a time getting the darn bolt off. I had to park my car two houses down cause the new neighbors have like three cars a piece so they take up all the parking and being Polish, I just opened my tool box (little plastic boxed,90-odd piece craftsman set) in my trunk and left it there while I brought the sockets and things over. I figured all the bolts would be the same size. You know it would make sense, but like my job, if it makes sense, it's not being done. >.<

haha my quarter extentions are the same way...the drivers side is 3/8" and the pass is like 10mm or something like that. it bothers me knowing that there is a metric bolt on my car. i might just have to fix that

There are several metric bolts on my car. When I was working in Pep Boys, I used my metrics more than my sae's so it took me a while to switch back to the sae set. I'm a whiz at looking at a bolt and going "it's 12mm" and being right. I finally got to the point where I can pretty much do the same with the saes again! LOL!

Like the comcast commercial

"We're working on it."

It's a royal PITA man. I've gotta work around my parents. I don't go home when they are around or awake. The only time I really go to get anything at all from that house is after 10 on nights where my step dad is working. I'll see if I can manage to get them off tonight, seeing as the rain stays at bay that long. There are lots more parts I need to get off the car, but as I said, If my parents are home, I don't go there. I can't deal with their nonsense. I'm completely out of the house, save for the fact that the car is still there. I'm pulling off whatever parts I can and they can deal with getting rid of it, seeing as no one buys it when I put it on ebay.
