RE: flowtech didn't work for me!
Don't know about fixing the header, but I have run into similar problems in the past. Sometimes you must raise the engine a little to finagle the header in.

RE: flowtech didn't work for me!
The header can be repaired, but the job will involve at least some welding of the relatively thin header tubing. Just what you'll need to do depends on how much of a dent (dents?) you're looking to remove and what sort of access you have. BTDT.

RE: flowtech didn't work for me!
I helped a friend put a set on his 65. You HAVE to jack the motor. They shoud fit ok. Its just a pain to get them in.

RE: flowtech didn't work for me!
I have Flowtech on my Windsor stroker. They fit fine down low, just took a little precusion therapy up by the heads to get the bolts in.

RE: flowtech didn't work for me!
the automatic cars use a diffrent fitment then manual equiped cars so check to make sure to have the right application I have hooker super comps on my 66 the require a little patience and sometimes jacking of the motor!![>:]

RE: flowtech didn't work for me!
i wouldnt dent a header ever your restricting exhaust flow id buy another set mine came from http://www.fordpowertrain.com/FPAindex/headers1.htm they fit great.shorties are useless they dont flow much over the stock manifolds and are about the same price as full headers. better off staying with the old cast iron manifolds go with long tube or tri y.
