My tires are 225 70r 14's. He just swamped out the old gear, but he obviously didn't do it right. Can I go anywhere for this gear (pepboys, autozone etc..) or do I need to get it at somewhere specific?

here is the only place I know of that has a 23 tooth, but I don't think they make one for an automatic

it is about 1/2 way down the page. might want to call them and see if they can point you in the correct direction. I made another calculation sense the tooth number calculator gave you a different answer and should have been correct. based on my calculation the problem is that the shaft inside your trans is probably a 8 tooth. At lest an 8 tooth vrs a 7 tooth will make a + 8.6 MPH difference at 60 MPH

Thanks Daze. I ordered the gear from them. This type of gear only lasts for 15-30k miles, but atleast it will fix my speed and odometer. Thanks for the suggestion
