Do either one of you Boonville guys know Jr. Blackford? Is that rear end set up a kit or home built? Looks good!

RE: '66 Pro Touring Convertible Update
The torque link, lower controls arms and mounts, panhard bar, shock mounts, and anti roll assy. were all made. We did buy the lower billet aluminum shock mounts. I have a friend that works at a custom sheet metal facility and any bracket I can mock up out of cardboard he can cut out with a water jet machine.
Aren't friends great!

RE: '66 Pro Touring Convertible Update
No kit or drawing....[sm=sorry.gif].....Just a lot of work
The billet battery mount is in and the new aluminum fuel cell is mounted.
Mocked up the convertible top to see how much the new wheel tubs would need to me modified for the top to lower all the way.
Cut the necessary ammount out of the wheel houses and fabricated a new top for them that matched the angle of the top when lowered
The new piece looks much better than the factory "sledge hammer" job that was on the car originally.
Now to the new floorpans
Thanks,
Brent

Iwas wondering what you were going to do with the factory flat spot on the wheel well, now I know. I was also wondering what you did with the trunk hinge and hardware. Did you just move it in a bit when you widened the wheel well? Mine is tacked right to the factory wheel well,I assume yours was to? Also, did you check out the front end kit from fat man fab? Pricey, but trick as hell.

Brent, awesome job!... couplequestions, why did you choose a three piece trunk floor verses the one piece that have thedrop downs included? I have to do similar to my 66 coupe, and would like to get some opinions. Also, looks like you used alap weld on the quarters, right? did you recess the original skin before tacking in the new quarter? Last, the mini-tubs look great!looks like you cut back the sheetmetal an inch or two, and then replaced with the widened tubs, correct? besides the cutting for fit, was there any unexpected mods necessary to accomodate the tubs? That baby's gonna look incredible when it's done. you takin a vote on paint color? or have you already decided?
