Is it my headlight switch?

1966 Coupe inline 6 bare bones.

So I am having some electrical problems. I have read multiple topics where people have similar problems.

For a while my right blinker would stay on (not blink) when my headlights/parking lights were on. Whatever, I could live with that.

The other night, after about 2 minutes of driving, my headlights went out. They didn't just go out, they would go out for a minute, come on for about 2 seconds, then off for another minute. Also, it would cause my gauge lights, emergency lights, turn signals to act VERY erratic. They would go dim, go out, not blink, all extremely random. My headlights then stayed off after a few minutes of erratic surges.

I read that the switch has an inline circuit breaker, could this be the source of my problems? How have you guys dealt with this (apparently) common problem?

Also, is it very difficult to replace the light switch? It seems to be in a difficult location.

It's most likely the switch, and it's not hard to replace or expensive. All the supply house have them.

Autozone will have it for $20 and it should take maybe 10 minutes to swap...

Ten minutes? I fanangled my body under the dash today, looks as if I can hardly fit a hand under there. Would it be 'easiest' to remove the gauge cluster and do it from there?
