Does that sort of paint mixture give off nasty fumes, anyone know?

I've experimented on it, and no, no fumes, it's almost odorless.

Thats cool. Very nice and has to be a fraction of the cost of the spray types.

oderless doesn't mean good when working with large volumes of ammonia you left the area when you could not smell anything as your brain blocks out the smell which means you can be alot of trouble

I'd skip paying for a DVD myself. There is more info at the original $50 paint thread than you can soak up in a weekend. Also input from folks trying slight variations and other paint types. The thread went on so so long it had to be broken into three parts and folks are still adding to it as more folks paint.

I've been following it for over a year. I haven't painted a car becuase I want silver and metallic paints don't seem to work with this method. I have used some Rustoleum on some test parts that have been out in the weather for over a year. So far I am pretty impressed with the durability and gloss retention.

haha i dont know what you used but when i painted my car it smelt like crap. went out and bought a nice respirator for $30 and it made it so much easier to work with. definately not good to be sniffing fumes all day.

I have read that entire mopar thread already...I still wanted the DVD.

Besides, it's only $15.

BTW, a friend of main is painting an old station wagon like that, I'll try to get some pictures.

Just put on a mask, problem solved (besides, you should be painting in this method outdoors not indoors).

Anything around us is bad, I can't be bothering with what's harmful or not (like second-hand smoking).

Did you know California soil has the highest concentration of natural asbestos in the USA?

I don't see people fleeing California.
