Default 68 sprint B , Worth 2,500.00 ????

I went and looked ata 68 289 Sprint B last weekend . It appears all original except the drivers fender . Pretty strait , a little surface rust and oxidized , but a complete California car. All the parts are there , needs interior kit , engine probably needs rebuild , needs paint and complete detailing top to bottom , every part needs cleaning , painting , polish etc.... . But it is strait and complete , is it worth 2,500.00 plus trailer rental and gas ? It's 165 miles round trip blah , blah , blah etc... $ 3 g's total and it's home . Am i just dreaming again , or is this a good deal for a one of 15,000 68 coupe. I pulled a Marti and it is legit . My O.C.D. is killing me !

Why Not? It sounds good to me. Do you really want the car or did the car, and its price, sound appealing and got some gears rolling in your head?

I recently purchased a 68 rust free coupe that had originally been a california car. It has a blown-up 289 with a hole in the side of the block and it needs a vinyl top installed. I paid a lot more for that car than the one you're looking at and it's a standard coupe. I wish it was a sprint B. I still feel good about my purchase simply because it's rust free. Around here that's a rarity.
I'd say you're looking at a good buy. Go for it if you want it.

Do i really want the car , yes , like every other 67 or 68 i see . But ; to answer the rest of the question ... i ran across it on line and saw the " sprint " stuff and had never really paid attention . I knew about Falcon sprints because my godmothers mom had one , like a 64 or 65. So i did a little reasearch and saw that they only made 15,000 "Sprint B's" in 68 and how many had power disc, and how many had a.m./f.m. , and how many had tint, and how many had air .... then the price was 2500 and the thing looked restorable in the pics and so... I went and looked at it. Told my wife this evening that i was thinking about hitting the 401K acct. to get the $ and buy the car and she did'nt flinch , or respond in a negative way ( we do things by agreement here , i don't want to come home to 4,000 dollars worth of new carpet one day without knowing ahead) so maybe i'll be headed down and getting it. will post pics if so . ThanX ! for the input ya'll .
