Default is this Mach 1 worth it?

well, i spent some time talking to him today at our turkey rod run here in daytona, i'm wondering if it's worth the money or not. it's a 1969 Mach 1 R-Code 428 Cobra Jet - painted house of kolors tangerine with a gold base. has 53,000 on it all numbers matching everything.

he wants $49,500 for it - is that worth it or not? what are some things i should look for on this car - any trouble areas or anything? it looks great in person and i didn't see anything that was ate up or anything, but i don't know. if anyone with some info could help.

If you're seriously considering spending the money have the car professionally appraised.

End of thread.

IMO it would be better for the buyerto find out the car is better than they thought, and ask a little more, than it would be for you to buy it and find out it is a money pit after you invest that much for the car.

Easy, have it appraised and negotiate from there.
