Nitrous will make excellent reliable power and the engine will last a long time, IF it's setup CORRECTLY. But bad ignition + nitrous = disaster. Fix what needs to be fixed first, then work your way into the performance stuff.

there will be plenty of time to make it a little faster down the road. safety and reliable should be first [sm=smiley20.gif]

IMO there are three things that need to be taken care of before you do apearance, performance, and comfort upgrades.

1st, if you can't stop the car then why are you driving it?
2nd if you can't steer the car then why are you driving it?
3rd if its not reliable then why are you driving it?

Funny you say that, I have a NOS setup in my garage that has one run on it! Years ago, my younger brother put it in his '66 vert against my father's and my advice ... boom. It had no safety devices (fuel pressure switch, rpm switch, etc.) and only a button at the bottom of the pedal so it would activate at WOT. He was fortunate in that he only blew both headgaskets. For fixing his car, I got the NOS and haven't touched it.
