Why do you want new axles? I'm sure you could get Currie to make you some...but I don't see a reason for it.

Personally, I plan on using c-clip eliminators on my 8.8. Cost a bit more, but I don't like c-clips.

dont waste your time with the gay *** cutting the 87..take it fmro your friend to a junkyard and change it out with them for a mid 90's 8.8 out of a v8 explorer....bolt that ****er up with minimal effort.

:-| You still have to cut and reweld the spring perches, AND the explorerpinion is offset, unlike the fox rear. Not what I'd call an ideal situation. You don't get the low gearing you would out of an explorer, but I'd much rather spend the money on gears and a nice true-trac unit anyway.

It's an option, but it requires some creativity to get it to work right. It is not an outrightBETTER option, or by any means the only option, just different. Don't try to make it seem like the fox swap isn't perfectly acceptable.

cutting spring perches and re welding them is a lot easier than cuttin off the ends of the Assembly, and an offset perch is only a problem if you want to run pipe out the back, but still thats an easy fix a little bending fixes that. and you already get the stronger axles with the explorer swap, but if you want an even easier swap, then go find a 96+ 4x4 ranger and get the 8.8 out of that they already come with gears stronger axles and is even better for the bolt in prcess......but your gonna pay a good bit for it.
