Oil in coolant?

RE: Oil in coolant?
i think that the oil you are reffering to is transmission fluid. cause it looks red in the pics and tranny fluid is red, at least mine was. the radiator might have a leak from the tranny fluid resivior.

Leaks of this variety are usually "two way", meaning that when the oil or transmission fluid is under pressure, oil is injected into the coolant, and when the car is shut off the radiator pressure injects water into the engine or tranny. I have not seen a Mustang with an engine oil cooler in the radiator, thesesetups are common on pick up trucks though.
Coolant will not always show, in any detectable amount,in the oil or trans fluid if the hole is very small, because it may take greater pressure to make the transition thannormal coolant pressure will exert.
So, if you have an auto trans, make sure that the radiator repair company checks the cooler out, or better yet, change it regardless.

As far as the stop leak, that is very possible. The POS PO did lots of strange things to the car instead of actually fixing stuff. The trans fluid leak might be dead on. I took it to the shop and the guy told me it was leaking and cracked at the trans cooler line in the bottom of the radiator. He said he fixed it, and it no longer leaks coolant.
