How much of a drop?
Hey guys soon im doing suspension now that i got my wheels situated. My car is sitting up way to high in the front and i believe its cause it has big block springs and the rear leafs sag so it gets that look. but my question is how much do you think i can drop it? it would really help if someone here that has a 69-70 could measure from the ground to the highest point of the fender flare for me so i can see how much higher my front springs sit then the stock ones. i wanna try to meet the tire so you dont see as much inside the fender.

RE: How much of a drop?
First off, wheels look great on your car. If you drop it, I wouldnt do it too much, 1-2" maybe.
Ifyou change out the front suspension, I'd consider upgrading from those drums while your atit.

RE: How much of a drop?
yeah i know that blue has go to go or at least get repainted. yeah thanks tho, im glad ive got tt2 now insted of those old steel rims and hub caps!
i was thinking of painting the drums either red or silver or black.
but yeah i think i should go with a 1" drop maybe all the way around and then cut the coil if it doesnt look right. that front looks reallyhigh to be the stock springs and it was once a 6c sotheonly thing ican think is the guygot some bigger springs in it to support the351c.
i really like the stance of this 69 coupe. and plus its kinda what im looking at finishing my car like with the shelby kit.

EDIT:
I also like the stance of this 70 stang its a little more jacked up in the back looking than that 69. but hes running a 1" drop all the way around but the only diffrence is hes got 1"drop 550 rating on the front insted of the usual 620 springs. whats the diffrence????

this 69 is nice too but it looks more drasicbecause of the monsterous wheels, but out ofthese 3 cars is kinda the stance im looking for.

RE: How much of a drop?
Has the car had enough time to settle (2 or 3 months)? I think it looks good the way it is.But if you want to go lower, looks like about 2 inches will give the stance you are looking for.

Lol, I meant upgrading to disc, not repainting them.
i was thinking of painting the drums either red or silver or black.
yeah i knew what you meant. i need to get some discs in the front soon also. but for now while im broke i might be able to afford a can of paint
EDIT: is a 1" drop enough all the way around? i cant find any sites that sell more of a drop for a 70.
