No clutch packs to wear out uses about a 4:1 bias ratio so whatever amount of traction the "gripping" wheel has is multiplied by about 4 and transfered to the "non gripping" wheel the down side is 0x4=0 so you do have to have some amout of base traction to work with. (i think thats about right)

I have the tru track in my 66 8" and I love it....they make them in 9" too. Its at least worth looking into.
