Default 1969 351 Carburetor

I own a 1969 Ford Torino GT. It has an automatic FMX transmission. The motor is very stock. The only mods it will have in the near future are a better coil, headers, better exhaust, and shift kit. I want to put a new Holley carburetor on the car. I want a carb with vaccuum secondaries and electric choke. I want a carburetor that will give me great performance. Do you guys have any reccommendations on which carburetor I should get? What cfms should I be looking for?

Thanks

I say you need about 650 CFM....

and even though you have stated that you want vac secondaries, I think you will get great(er) performance from mechanical secondaries...

a 625 road demon would be perfect..........or an edelbrock performer 600 is a good match and good mpg's oh yea I'd get rid of the cast iron intake if thats what you have.

I have an edelbrock 650 cfm carb on my 351w and it runs great (well ran, hasn't been started in 6 months since its been in body shop, stripped haha). My engine is pretty much a stock rebuild, nothing too fancy, and the 650 does a good job, but I think you can get away with a 600 as well.
