I have an extra housing if you want it. I'm not sure that I see the difference between the 2 pics. Can you be more specific?

Thanks

I have attached pictures where I have circled the areas I'm talking about.

If you look at the lower right hand side of the housing where the tach goes, you can see that the two are different. The first picture shows what my housing looks like, has the voltage and oil gauges withouta tach. The second and third picture show the housing that I need to have a tach. I got the second and thirdpictures from tachman.com.

The housing used to hold the tach is I guess deeper area on the right hand side where the tach would sit. You can see that area that sticks out more like the speedometer side.

AscolA, do you have a picture of your housing that I could see?

I see. I checked and have the same setup that you have now. Sorry.

Here is another option if you don't have any luck finding the correct cluster housing:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-M...em280198107214

It fits were the factory clock is supposed to be.

This is what the back of the ignition switch looks like. There's a solid yellow, solid black, red w/ blue stripe and a redish pink wire. Am I wiring the tach from the redish pink wire?? You can't see some of the colors cause they are covered with tape.

I basically cut the red wire from the ignition and ran it to the tach, then ran the black wire from the tach to the end of the red wire I cut in the harness. It seams to work fine on my car and I have an electronic ignition.

the wiring is different but very similar there is a youtube vidio on it i suggest you watch there is alot of bad info on thius subject. There is a pink resistor wire that comes out of the ig swich it goes to the left side of dash into a 4 wire plug it ties into a red wire with a yellow tracer this wire feeds the positive side of the coil
your tach wires between thease. The black wire on the tach goes to the pink wire the other red tach wire will tap into the red with yellow tracer
