Default Help, I need a dimension from a 67 or 68.

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone of you with a 67 or 68 ,without an engine, can help me out. I need the dimension from the top of your motor mount to a straight line even with the top of your fenders. I need to see where I'm at with fitment of my 347. My car is under a car cover covered with snow! I worked on the 347 all day today. Just one snag though. The stud girdle I purchased from Parts Unlimited didn't come with spacers for the main caps. Not only that, the oil pan I purchased from them was not welded completely and had a 1/4" or so hole in it. They sell chinese garbage on e-bay. I e-mailed them 2 times a month apart with no response. DON'T BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS! I will be buying a new stud girdle tomorrow. I did buy a alcohol injection system (AIS)for the blower and a MSD 6BTM w/boost retard this weekend. Other than that, here's where I'm at.

hey valley, cant help with the question sorry.

I was going to suggest you deal with Jegs or Summit for the performance parts. I have had good service from both even down here... and I'm guessing that i'mone of the few members who is even further from the parts sources than you

How cold is it up there?????

I never understood the hype about ebay.
I know someone that bought a pair of 'new' heads there and found a crack in one of them.
I told him that Jegs had the same heads in stock and he should just order them and be done with it but he wanted a better 'deal' through ebay.
I don't get it.

I have ordered thousands of dollars of merchandise from Summit. This is just one of those deals that I seen and tried to save a buck. The temps are around 10 deg today. Now last week was a totally different story. Last Monday on my way to work the temp sign in town read -25. It stayed that way for about two weeks. This is the first year the water lines in the house froze.
