Default Edelbrock intake and carb question?

The PO of my Mustang is offering to sell me his Edelbrock Performer Manifold for a 289and Edelbrock Carb 650+ jet pack for $300. I'm no expert on intakes and carbs, but looking around on the net that seems like a pretty good deal, but would that stuff work on a 302?

No, it is better than stock. It works well on 302's.

Typically, what kind ofnumbers does this add to a stock motor?
