Default 64 1/2 turn signal Flasher Location

Here's where to find the turn signal flasheron at least some 64 1/2 Mustangs. I found a link in a forum here to a wiring diagram for a 64 1/2, but oddly it is not where mine (an early, early '64)was located. Where I found it looks original with no modification. Mine ended up being on the inner side of the left metal support wing that braces the dash/steering column/brake pedal stop area.

You may not have to drop your dash bezel if you can work without seeing what you're doing. It took me opening the dash, unhooking the speedometer cable,to figure this out though.

If you lay upside down in the driver's seat, back against the transmission, reach around the parking brake towards the speedometer above the steering column and above the metal plate that is the brake pedal stop. The flash is in a spring clip mounted to the left wing brace. You can't see it from underneath, but you can feel it. Two wires connected to it. The spring clip is pretty strong, so it is a little hard putting the new one back in. And unhook your battery before you shove your arm up in there.

Here's some images:
