RE: quick flywheel question?

No. It will bolt on but the inline sixes are internally balanced. The 289 is externally balanced and the flywheel carries the weights.

RE: quick flywheel question?

my 66 gt, kept going through starters...............cost me 500 three times, to get the fly wheel gear turned around, new starter, etc,.....turned out that whoever had it before me, put a 6 cylinder flywheel on it. i bought a new ring gear, and it fit the flywheel,.........so that part was the same, but the starter gear just barely touched it, so i'd get about 20-30 starts out of a new starter, and then it wouldnt reach any more,...........so it was "park on a hill", or huff and puff, and push the car, to get it started. finally got it straightened out, and figured out what the problem was,...............lots of $$ later..............
the guy i got it from, had been racing it, so he didnt need too many starts i guess...............
