Default Another Unidentified Parts

I'm hoping that I'm on the right forum for my 69. I am in the process of restoring the original seats and I am having a hard time finding the part (or even the name of the part) for the seat.

Okay here we go:

The part is a metal piece that is bolted to the side of the lower seat and is where the "tilt forward" latch hooks from the top to the bottom. Basically, this is the catch that keeps the seat from tilting forward without the use of the side lever.

Also, can any one tell me the best place to get hardware for my seats?

Thanks in advance.

how's the NPD catalogue a PITA? download the full catalogue from 2008. on page 7 you have an exploded view of the seat with description and parts. how can it be easier?

The NPD catalog is pretty cool but they don't show the name of the part or that it is available. On page 7 it is the peice directly under the seat pivot pin.

the seat pivot pin
Is this NPD's name for the part... or yours? I don't see "seat pivot pin" listed anywhere......

edit... oops, I'm using my 2007 catalog...

Your description indicates that you are looking for what I would call it - the seat latchhook and/or latch striker. This is part of the seat back and I havent found anyone that sells a replacement. Try a junk yard for a beatup seat back and try to take it from there. good luck

What I need is the piece that doesn't have a part number. I called some Mustang graveyard type place and they quoted me 60+ for the part if they could find a seat to take it off of. I laughed, I'd rather make it because it's just a single piece of aluminum that has been benta few times and had two holes drilled in it.
