I am having a really hard time choosing a paint scheme for my car. I am kicking around a couple ideas and would like to hear what you guys have to say. I want to paint my car House of Kolors Kandy Brandywine over a gold base. It looks similiar to Candy Apple Red but a little richer.

I am thinking of painting it solid red (kinda boring but makes the car easy to sell some day if I ever want to.)

Here is an example of the two tone idea. Like this but a better job on the flames.

just the solid kandy imho, all the others look cluttered, the kandy with some ghost flames would look awesome

I've never seen a 69 convertible with the mach 1 scoop like that rather than that reverse side scoop they normally have on there. very cool

That's a shaker scoop

And it has the wrong badge on the fender.

lol no not the shaker in the hood, I'm talking about the quarter panel scoop. Normally the convertible have the same side scoop as the coupe

That black vert was one that was on Overhaulin' a couple years ago. I think the paint scheme looks really mean, hence making it to my final list. The other version is just swapping the color around.

That would explain the side scoop if it's the one I'm thinking of, I remember seeing a show where they did a 69 convert and adapted it to fastback body panels for a custom look (although I'd be willing to bet it was because coupe/convert rear panels for 69 are hard to come by).

My wife said the same thing so I adjusted the poll for that instead of just plain red. Thanks for the input.

haha well simplicity is the name of the game you dont want something thats gonna jump out at you and scream like a roaring lion. just remember you have to look at it everyday. imho
