this is my dads interior. cause mine is metal[8D]. but i will be doing the same thing as far as stereo work. i dotn see why anyone would put a stereo in the glove box...it sounds like itd be too much of a hassle reaching over and opening it to change the station. not to mention how much it distracts you. i love my dads stereo cause its got a remote. WAY easy to operate. the cord coming out of the back is for my ipod. it just tucks under the dash. and the tears in the carpet are cause he used to have a console but it we didnt like it so we took it out. btw, original tan/brown console for a 66 for sale. PM me.

the cooler is for my dads medicine cause hes diabetic. i didnt feel like taking it out

I thought I booked marked it, but I can't find the damn link. I tried google too and that didn't come up with anything. I'll keep looking. And no I did not do power locks, but I hear it's not that hard at all.

EDIT: Found it! http://home.teleport.com/~cosa/vap/TLock.htm

I would suggest a hidden kill switch and a detachable wheel from grant. No wheel, no steal.

Flatbed... gone!

85% of auto theft are kids looking for a joyride or some a$$hole looking to sell it for fix money. Car alarms and all the small things like kill switches, gas shutoffs, fingerprint scanning, T-Handle, etc are what help keep these people from taking your car. The longer it takes and more noise caused the quicker they'll leave.

The remaining are professional and regardless of what you do to the car for security, if they want it... they WILL get it![:@]

Right now i'm leaning towards an alarm with a paging remote, any recommended brands? I'm also going with Alpine all the way around for stereo system. Any thoughts?

Get a Viper alarm to discourage the joyriders and such mentioned above. If you REALLY want you car back if a "pro" steals it, spend the money to have a "LowJack" system installed. It is basically a GPS device that is activated by a signal from the cops when you tell them that your car has be stolen. They can locate the car and usually bust the guys who stole it before they start chopping it up. It's not cheap...but when you are talking about a 40+ year old classic car that is just about impossible to replace...is it really that much?
