Default transimission leak through breather tube

The breather hose on my1966 coupe is blowing transmission fluid up onto the engine. I had the back end jacked up for a couple of days and when I lowered it and started the car, I got some transmission fluid coming out of the breather line - I put a vaccuum hose on the curved tube and ran it up to the firewall about where the top of the block sits - and it came out of there. What a bummer. Anyone have any thoughts on why this happened?

Default RE: transimission leak through breather tube

nobody has any ideas? A buddy told me that C4 transmissions can leak a bit if parked for a long time as the fluid can drain from the torque converter. In this case though, the car is running and ejected some fluid from the breather line. Any ideas appreciated, thanks.
