More problems.

Well, like some of you know, I've had nothing but problems with this car since I got it. Well I finally worked through most of the problems and got the engine in, towed it to a good shop in town, BAD NEWS. Number 2 cylinder is dead, they aren't sure why, but I'm not paying to have it looked at any further. I don't have the extra 400 laying around just to find out why there is no compression in the cylinder, not to mention even more money to fix it. So the car has to sit till I can fix it then I'm selling it. Probably for over a year just because I don't have the time any time soon.

Any ideas on why a cylinder would be dead a new rebuilt engine?

valve stuck open for whatever reason.. thats the first thing that comes to mind.

remove valve cover and have someone crank the engine a few turns and see if the valves on 2 move..

Dont give up, the old ones take a little extra! Take your time, get it fixed up and enjoy the car! Or sell it to me! :)

Do you have any pictures of your car on the forum? I frequent the site, but not enough to remeber any other issue's you've been having?

I was hoping it would be a valve, hoping it's not a piston ring.

I hope this link works. Pics are in members rides, look up zggill04
