Default Anyone tried one of these MSD 6011

I wish I had known about these a few months ago. It seems to allow a lot of freedom on using the Modular engine family and make things easy to run. Smack on a carb, use the controller (NO EDIS) with their harness (that hooks to the stock sensors) and WALA, you can put a Modular in your engine bay. I would love to hear from anyone who has used one.http://www.msdignition.com/product.aspx?id=6897

It's a little harder than "voila" to cram a mod motor between the shock towers of any classic, seeing as it's wider even than a 460 That said, it is a pretty cool little toy.

MII's are so easy to install I hate the shock towers anyway. I was thinking about a 32 valve mod with a carb on the easy side of the wallet. I just wonder what the numbers would come out to be. Just a guess but I think it would be 400 or so. The good thing is, you can loose all that wiring and no ecm while utilizing the stock crank, cam, etc sensors. I thought it was pretty cool. I think it sells for about 500 bux plus the harness. Not too bad.

Yeah, if you're already planning on hacking out the shock towers, it's definitely a cool option. Those 4.6's have a nice low center of gravity, and I bet you could pull 400hp on one without any problems. Better yet, stick a roots blower on top of it

Nah, not a blower. You could put a blow through carb on it with Twin Turbos.

Meh. Still don't like turbos, especially on V8's. Linear power and torque on demand ftw. And mod motors are almost built for roots blowers, what with all that room in between the heads.
