Thumbs down Avoid Bob's Fords

I called Bob's Fords in Portland, OR for a quote on price and availability on some parts and told him of some other parts that I wanted. He told me that he would check on the used parts and call me back. Instead, he sent me incorrect parts and charged me for the rest of my wish list without even giving me a quote. This resulted in overdraft charges on my bank account. When I told him of this, he denied everything and refused to help in anyway. Just thought I'd let you know. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH GUY!!!!!!!! This was the owner by the way.

I purchased my engine any tranny to do the EFI conversion from him. I didn't have any problems. He is a little expensive but service was fine. Sorry to hear you have had such problems. By the way, why did he have your credit card info if you weren't ready to buy?

I had a run in with Dallas Mustang very recently where first they back ordered me then left a pending transaction on my credit card. I contacted them to have the pending removed and they were very unhelpful and pretty much blew me off. This after contacting them several times asking where the stuff was and they gave me the run around instead of just telling me one thing that I ordered was on back order.

From now on I am sticking with NDP and / or Virginia Classic....never had any problems and gotten great service from those two organizations.

I had problems with this guy too. I placed an order with him twice and still nothing was ever sent. The first time I went over the whole order with him on the phone I think the total was over $1,100.00 every part, every price. I waited a week for order conformation and when nothing was sent I called back only to have him say "it was an employee (who was just fired) that was supposed to have placed my order and never did, that is why he was fired".So I went through the whole order again with the actual BOB this time, waited 2 weeks and still nothing. I called back and he never heard of me or my order.I froze my credit card for any purchases coming from BOB'S Ford in Portland. Nothing was ever charged to me or sent.
That guy is a DILLHOLE!

I buy most stuff from NPD with GREAT service and shipping. It also helps to have an outlet one state over. Also I had purchased suspension kits from Laurel Mountain with good service but shipping was $$$ to the west coast.

The place where I have had bad luck the last few months is ebay. Their system for feedback is messed up and I went around and around trying to leave bad feedback for a 500 dollar brake kit from a vendor. I eventually did a charge off with my bank and received the money back. Ebay had the nerve to tell me I didnt win the item even though it showed it under my profile.

I just had this very thing happen with Dallas Mustang. I called and emailed and got the pass along and ignored. So I emailed everyone who sounded important on the website contacts and my part showed up last week. I talked with their web order person, and they are in the process of updating their website and ordering software. Since I support various business Information Systems, I can sympathize with the chaos caused by new software. I suggest to the rest of you that you initialize contact on all fronts, and keep all your sent mail. List in the email that you send them the time and date you called.

That way you have proof if they charge you without sending your purchase.
