I am 99% sure the rears won't work. Probably need 17x8. Will need spacers and a negative roll / shelby drop in the front.

Front probably won't work either I have 17x8 wrapped in 245/45/17 and when you turn them left or right they would rub from the rim/tire being so wide. Luckily It was very close and I rolled the fender a bit.

Definitely way too big for a 65-66. You might be able to cram 17x8's in there with narrow tires in the front, but 9's don't fit without modification.

17's are too big for 65-66's anyway, IMO.

I agree....15's are a step up from the original 14's, but 17's are just too big for the early models.

The backspacing makes a difference also. If your 17x10.5 was the same backspacing as my rim's (4.75) your back rim would probably hit the leaf springs?

i already have fr500s on my 03 cobra, and i really want them on the 65, its just that plan and simple. and im already doing a custom work to the fenders so i dont mind putting a little more time fitting the rims on the car!!

I am so damn tired of people saying that 17's are too big.Come on guys, get out of the 70's and 14" wheels with white lettered tires.Quit being so narrow minded.
