Cracked oil pan...
Well, the other night, I was driving home in the car and when i went over a hill there was a large piece wood right in the middle of the lane. I couldnt get stopped and didnt want to wreck, so I went over it. Well of course It hit something on the bottom of the car pretty hard. I looked and looked but couldnt find anything wrong. Well in the past couple days its been leaking oil, which it has never done, so tonight I went to change the oil, and after I wiped all the oil off and started draining it, I noticed the crack right in the front center of the pan on the bottom corner. I cleaned the crack and proceeded to weld it up. Well, got it looking good, and poured in 7 qts (pan holds 8) and noticed drip----drip----drip. So, put it back on the lift, and tried to weld some more, but that didn't work all that well since there was oil coming out... so right now its in the garage with a clean catch pan under it. Maybe next week ill have some time to drain the oil again and try to reweld it some more. Sorry for the long post, but I needed to vent some lol.

thanks true and small, i knew someone would step in and tell that douche whats up. i coulda fired back at him but it means so much more coming from you guys
btw, jb weld ftw as long as you can get the oil off it which is nearly impossible without dropping the pan. welding while in the car could give you pieces of slag inside the motor cause welding sheet metal isnt exactly easy to do without burning thru (especially with oil and/or paint in the way).
my offer stands, i'll touch base with ya when i get to chattahoocie and at the very least we'll have to hook up. i'll be driving my 06
