I have always wanted a '70. The only one I ever found for sale around me was in 1994. At the time I wasn't about to pay 5k for a car that didn't run. It was a Mach I Q code with a siezed 428. It was all original, but it needed restored.

I think part of the reason I like the '70 so much is because I am a '70.

I prefer the 69 to the 70. But they are both posers compared to the 67 fastback .

I got ya, Boss!

Fastbackford.... how can you HONESTLY believe that? Look at fords styling and how it changed from 65-73... EVERY major body change in the standard mustang was DIRECTLY influenced by Shelby's model of the previous year.

Look at the styling of a 67-68 Fastback... then look what Shelby did... added lip spoiler, longer nose, scoop on the quarter panel, ford realized it was an imporvement and laid these design concepts into effect on the 69-70... they perfected the look. stock 67s are cute, but they aren't a Muscle car. Nothing says muscle mustang like the wide wheelwells and blown up quarter panels of a 69-70.

Even look at the 69-70 Shelbys with the loooooooong nose... then look at a 71.... Ford was the little nerdy kid who had a conversation once with the cool kid in school (READ: SHELBY) and followed him around for years trying to be just like him.

I almost purchased a 1970 but the guy was asking way to much. I'm glad he did cause I would have missed out on my 69.

The 69 because I don't care for the little grille things by the headlights on the 70. Though I would swap in the 70 style bolt in windows.

YES me too, thats where the 70 has us beat. My glue in windows were a PITA, my dad and I had to separate the glass from the brackets and reglue them and stuff, there's no way you can get them perfect. They are aligned pretty well, but they still don't seal up perfectly. If one of them ever breaks I'll be upgrading...

Talking

Drivers window is bolted in, passenger is glued. Ironically I still like the 69 styling better but since I haven't seen my car in a few weeks I'll have to get back to you on why I like it so much.

I just keep dropping checks and getting closer and closer to eating the carrot...err driving the car.

The biggest reason I like the 70 better: Shaker Hood option. However, both are awesome cars and I'd love to have either.
