Default 68 Styled Steel Wheel Color

Hey all need some help, I picked up (ebay) 4 original styled steel wheels for my 68. I'm going to sandblast and paint. Does anyone know the exact original color on these? Who carries it? Has anybody done another color besides original that looked good with the chrome trim rings and caps? Pictures would be great.

Thanks or your help,

Craig

Argent is generally the color. However, are you lookig for the exact argent of the originals. Each co will have slightly different shades. I think I recall NPD having an argent paint specifically for these wheels that is supposed to be very close. If you are not that ****, any argent will do. But some are a little to silvery and shiny for my taste. The original color is has a matte sheen to it.

Good luck.

Thanks Coda, I will check with NPD, we have one here in Charlotte and I've purchased a few items there. They are pretty helpful.
