Default AID Neutral Switch Wiring Question

Quick question, I have the wiring diagram for the AOD Neutral Safety/Reverse switch but am unsure of where the stock wires go.

According to the AOD switch diagram:

1&2 Reverse Lights
3&4 Crank Only (Park and Neutral)

I pulled the stock switch from my 72 FMX, it was a 5 wire bundle of wich 1 wire was brown for the shifter illumination the other wires are as follows:

2 Red/Blue
1 White/Purple
1 Black/Red

So how would I wire this? do the 2 Red/Blue go to 1&2 and the others to 3&4? If so does it matter to which post?

Thanks.

The way I'm thinking this switch works is like two seperate switches. Of the two wires that are for the reverse lights, one is where power is supplied and the other is the output where power is produced when the switch is placed in the reverse position. The wire where power is supplied should come from the fuse box and the other should go to the reverse lights or reverse light relay if so equipped. Same concept for the starter wires. One is where power is supplied when you try to start the car, and the other is where power is supplied only if the car is in parking or nuetral. One wire comes from the ignition switch and the other goes to the starter solenoid.

I had to install it on my 69 and found the wire harness from a donar car at the salvage yard. The AOD 4 wire switch system is built into the tranny. When you take it out of park or nuetral it cuts off the power flow through the wires. Same with the reverse lights.

On mine I just tested the the stock wiring on the car one wire at a time all while the ignition switch is in the running position. Then by trial and error i figured the hot wire for the reverse and then by placing the shifter in reverse it will turn on the circut for the reverse lights.
After installing my engine I bypassed the system so I could start it

The red/blue wire comes from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid (check it by looking at the wire on the S terminal of the solenoid) via the switch (plug you are looking at). Black/red goes to the back up lights and white/purple comes from the fuse box (back up light power). Hope that helps!
