cigarette lighter and radio '67
When my boyfriend and I bought the Mustang there was no cigarette lighter in it. We bought a new one but can someone tell us with what kind of wire do we have to connect it ( colour?). And we allso bought a new radio/cd player because there wasn't one in it. And we have the same problem, which wires do we have to use to connect it.

Just above the ashtray you should see a solitary female 90* bullet connector dangling from the main harness
that just slides on to the back post of the lighter.
Here is the radio connection.
Note: the stock radio grounds though the chassis of the radio,
Blue/red stripe wire is for the bulb inside the radio.
The black with yellow stripe wire is for POWER and can be used as a KEYED power source for your deck.
The RED wire with inline fuse on it can go to the above connection or in behind the cluster there is a YELLOW 3-way connector with 2 or 3 bullet connector holes
This image is from a Ford Truck but the connector still looks like this on your car.
The Yellow MEMORY wire will require an ALWAYS HOT connection. Usually people splice into the cigar lighter wire.
Numerous people don't have clue about wiring and seem to hook them up wrong and blow fuses

How else can I help you ?
