Gauge Feed Wire Harness HELP!!!
FIRST QUESTION
Alright, Maybe I have this all backwards.
I currently have a hacked up gauge harness in my 67 and wanted to get the proper one installed before I switch my gauge cluster out. Here is the deal I was told the following
BLACK SHOE LACE WIRE goes to Temp Sender (red/green)
RED WIRE goes to the Coil (red/white) Im my case a Mallory Box
WHITE goes to the Oil Sender (white/red)
Is this correct or absolutely wrong. The reason I ask is look at my oil sender unit. No way any 3 of those wires will fit let alone the white with the speaker terminal connection which I was told thats the correct wire. Im pretty sure they have the coil and oil sender wire backwards unless there is another wire that plugs into the end and on to the oil sender
What is the correct way. I still need to make the harness longer to work so I dont want to play the guessing game. Im thinking I was told the incorrect way.
SECOND QUESTION
The last picture is out of the NPD catalog. According to them my current sender requires a spade connector (the one on the right) What does the spade connector look like?
Is it easier to just buy a new oil sender with the threaded stud connector?
As usual, thanks for the help and yes im lost.

This can't be an original harness ?
Sounds like an aftermarket harness.

No its actually a re-pop of the original. Thanks for the diagram, but it does not show the connection type for the senders.

Hey, I have a wiring manual at the house that I can nab tomorrow and scan and post some pics for you. Just please remind me because I will forget
Email me at march21_1861@hotmail.com and send me a note, you can do it now. I know this sounds funny but even if I wrote a note now there's a good possibility I would forget it somewhere. I check my emails just before leaving to go to work so I will catch it. I'm pretty sure it covers 67-68 as well, its one of those with detailed pics and routing instructions as well as colors.
I work 6pm-6am so it will be sometime after 6pm till I post.

Got'em, just shoot me an email so I will remember when I leave for work tomorrow. I also have a 67 and can take pics for you, mines a 6cyl but the senders are the same and so are the connections, just not the locations and length of wires.
