Default C4 shift update and one last question, at least for this!

Well I replaced all of the vacuum lines and put on a new vac modulator. The trans is shifting through all 3 gears for sure. My new question is what should the RPM's be in 3rd gear? I am now turning around 2500 at 40 and around 3000 at 50 mph. I tried to compare it to my Xterra with the OD turned off and it is pretty close. Is this right. I also have really small tires on the car. They are 185/60 14's. Could this be some of it? They are getting replaced when I get the funds!

Thanks for all of the help,
Jeff

yes the smaller the tire the higher the RPM

each turn of the smaller tire travels a shorter distance then larger tire...which means you need to turn more in order to go as far as a bigger tire which turns less

I just checked. The overall diameter is 22". So you think that is the whole issue? What are the rpm's others with a C4 are running?

I have 20" tires, and in 3rd gear I run about 2600 rpm at 55 mph and 3200 at 70 mph.
