doesn't match the OEM colors - it uses GM color codes. though having everything labeled might negate that? or it might drive you crazy :)

interesting idea though - it would give you a lot of options if you wanted to add other circuits.

For the price, you almost can't beat it. I've used many different aftermarket harnesses and this one looks to have very similar features at a discount price. A couple of points:

1. GM color codes, but the wires are labled so not a big deal.
2. They imply Ford, but the connectors included are for a GM column.
3. There are no connectors for the Ford wipers, ignition, or headlight switches.
4. There are no Ford specific lighting connectors included other than the headlights and those are universal.

Any wiring which claims to fit both 65 and 71 is going to be weird. The 65 (and 66-70) had a main wiring harness under the dash, which connected to peripheral harness (engine, taillight, hedlight) but the 71 had an elaborate underhood harness that went through the firewall and connected to under-dash equipment.

Plus the other shortcomings, mentioned above. The original style 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, and 71 (which will fit 72) are all available, so why mess with project wiring? They are direct fit, Ford color coded with connectors.

it fits all years bc its a generic wire harness. a headlight is a headlight, a horn is a horn, interior lights is interior lights etc. its the same wire and its powered the same way.
yes there are exceptions to the rule. like 64's have a different charging system etc.

id say if your not concerned with using the same original wire harness or connetors, go for it. just be ready to rewire the whole car every single wire.

I'm in the process of rewiring our 67 now & the easy part was the Ron Francis custom harness with the Express fuse panel. Top quality in every aspect! I've never installed one before but it was super easy. If it wasn't for the additional 800+ feet of wiring & 3 other fuse panels in the trunk for all the extra electronics it would have been a 1 maybe 2 day install for the Ron Francis harness. If/when I do another I'd definitely buy one again.
