Thumbs down 2+2 Rear Seatbelts

I'm the proud new owner of a 65 Fastback 2+2. There aren't seat belts installed in the back seat. While this would be awesome if you just wanted to go for a ride without the kids; I need to figure out an installation method for when I do want the kids to ride along.

Does anyone know if there is a rear seat belt kit available for the 2+2? It seams like they would have to be pretty high because of the raised back of the seat bottom.

I would appreciate any advice. Cheers!

My 66 2+2 has rear seatbelts. The seats have slits on each side of the hump in the seats for the belts to go through. If you pull the seats you will also see holes in the floor for the bolts. The belts are the same as the fronts, so you can use these:

I can take pictures of mine if you like. PM me with your email address and I can email them directly to you.

I just did it on my 65. The ones on in the middle were easy. You have to remove the side panels to mount the outside ones. Also you have to cut the seat to put the belts through. I could send you a pic on sat.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'll have to take apart the seat next weekend and see what I have.

Front belts standard in '65 with rear belts optional, a seemingly somewhat uncommon one at that.

Question

My car is show quality. Everything is original on the interior except the carpet and dash pad. The interior is in outstanding condition. Not that I plan to show the car, I just want it to look real good. I only wish it were black. That would be an easy match. The color combo of the interior is light/medium blue. The belts are medium blue. I don't think the aftermarket blues match. Any idea where to pick some good originals or color-matching aftermarket belts?
