Default Need opinions and help with seats

My 66 coupe standard seats are bad. They need new frames, foam and covers....almost everything. The seat tracks are ok.

I found 2 sets of seats. One set is out of a 98 Mustang, leather, but they have no seat tracks. 100 for the pair

The other set of seats is a set of headrested buckets out of a 69 Mustang. They have already been recovered and are complete and in great shape. 150 for the pair.

My questions are:
Will the 69 seats bolt right into my 66?
Can I use my seat tracks for the 98 pair?
Which ones would look better? I know it comes down to what I like in the end.

My car is more of a restomod.

Thanks as always.

Jeff

To install the 98 seats in your car you would want to take the seat tracks from your existing 66 seats and bolt them to the new seat.

I went the same way as you.....My 68 is a restamod as well, i put custom buckets in there, what i can tell you is that you are going to have a PITA of a time trying to use other brackets...put your stock brackets on the new seats, go with the 98 Seats. If your car is restamod, you will be much happier in the end.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know if the 69's will bolt directly in a 66? That is the only other question I had.

My 66 coupe standard seats are bad.
I have repaired a lot of these. Not a big deal if you can weld. Rarely, as in the case of a convertible that sat with no top, corrosion does take them beyond repair.

They need new frames, foam and covers....almost everything. The seat tracks are ok.
Seat frames, wire sets, foam and upholstery are available new.

I found 2 sets of seats. One set is out of a 98 Mustang, leather, but they have no seat tracks. 100 for the pair
Good price, but a lot of modification to install.

The other set of seats is a set of headrested buckets out of a 69 Mustang.
They have already been recovered and are complete and in great shape. 150 for the pair.
These will attach directly to your tracks, bolt right into the car.
