I don't recall seeing these a couple years ago when I was looking, perhaps I missed them or they just weren't reproduced yet but those are much better looking that just about anything else. I'll have to add them to my list.

I am going to look into those after I get the front end put back together...one thing at a time as they say, LOL!

I redid my package tray not so long ago. Picked up a new pair of 6 x9's and a new package tray. While I was at it, we welded in a new support in the trunk and moved the seat belt retractors into the trunk and off the package tray. The directions showed the retractors being mounted on the package tray but they looked gawd awful up there and were going to drive me crazy till I hid them in the trunk.

Now I want to mount my speakers on the underside and had been looking for a more low profile type grill to put over them. I currently have the ones that came with the speakers but they stick up too much and generally look kind of like they don't fit...too modern.

Thanks for pointing these out.....

Yes.. lower dash, ashtray, glovebox, dash-to-windshield trim, doors (around the inserts), kick panels w/6" speakers, full length center console (once poured and shaped), original roof console being redone, rear inner quarter panels, rear package tray w/6x9" speakers & 3rd brake light.
Will also be upholstering new headrests once they are ready. I still need to cut down the headrests from the late 80s/early 90s mustang seats. I cut off the top of the seat back & welded that into the 67 seat frames which fits great. Still aways from this but getting there slowly.

Interior will be the two-tone Ivy Gold. I'll be doing most of it myself however the new headrest covers I'm getting a buddy to do.

I mounted mine from underneath and covered the whole package tray with this foam-backed maroon fabric to match my interior. It is light enough material that it doesnt muffle the sound from the speakers at all but you can't tell at all by looking at it that there are even any speakers back there.

I don't remember seeing them either but I wasn't really looking for them, so maybe they were not reproduced yet.

That sounds like a decent way to do it too. It definitely has to look better than those aftermarket speaker grilles up on top of the package tray.

I would like to do this. I would also like to cover the package tray with vinyl like you did, but I have a white interior. There are a lot of shades of white!!!

I guess you could ask for a few samples to bring home to match it up. Are you planning on painting the grilles or leaving them black? They should be easy to paint since the screen part and the frame are separate peices.
