I want the Mustang to sound like this

Maybe they sound different in 3 inch pipes, with an x, and plugged into 410 cubes instead of 289/302

*sniff*
My fire breathing dragon has been reduced to a popcorn maker at the local mega-plex.
My car has had an exhaust leak almost the entire time I've owned it. I fix it and it blows out again on me. I was really just happy to have it running without a tick tick tick which is how it normally sounds. That last leak fix held for several weeks and then I took it to the track and it was ticking again by the 5th pass. It really is one of the largest draw backs to the whole big motor in a little car thing...it's a pita working on the exhaust.
It idles relatively low and I'm running dumps right now which amplifies the exhaust in all the wrong ways....it did sound better when I had the full pipes on it.

Mine leaks too, but taht is a Pontiac thing when headers are involved. Also I dont have a gasket set for it right now, and really you cant hear the leak over the rest of the engine noise.
I think Dodgestangs Cleveland sounds damn nice, not a fan of flowmasters and the tincan sound, but it still sounds good.
