I want the Mustang to sound like this
Its my drag car, I been thinking of building a 460 with aluminum heads for the ol Pit of Despair, maybe twist it in half or something. Weld in subframe connectors would be a must with something like this. I just got it moving under its own power yesterday so I made a video of what happens when you crack the throttle a bit. It didnt even open the back half of the carb to do this, I have been afraid to really open it up, the thing scares me. Honestly, I have been driving trucks and slow stuff for 4 years and I am not used to anything like this.

So what ya think? Build a solid roller 460 with Kaase heads and make it stupid fast?

That is no mouse. It is 467 inches of really annoyed Pontiac. Its an insult calling it an orange pos. It has a 4.25 stroke, somewhat larger than a 460 so its less of an rpm engine than a Lima. It never even got over 6000 rpm there.
A 514 would cost some money, so I was thinking light rods, Ross slugs since they are light (and in my engine now) and a solid roller with good heads on a 74 460 block... silly fun on the relatively cheap. It would make the 71 a really fun car. Alternatively I would want to stroke one of my Clevelands out to 400 or so and go solid roller with 4V heads.
Hey stepman, its not the fastest thing out there but its mine, all mine. It needs more work before I can really get into it. I cut the front springs tonight, they were too tall and it was at the upper travel limit, not good for getting it to hook. Brakes need work, trans needs work, it doesnt have a fan yet, and the seats need better mounts. Lots of work and the white stuff is coming soon. Its going to be a crowded shop this winter.

Yeah I have a thread for the Stang, its bookmarked so I can add to it when I progress further. It would be cool having a Ford with this much power, but I dont think I can afford another engine at this level. Maybe 700hp with a turbo from a junkyard, but not NA.. Pricey when you get over 550hp.
