I have a Holley 650 DP on my Ford Racing Boss 347 (450HP) and it feels just right.

In reading Holley info "Intended for lightweight vehicles w/ manual trans or automatics with high stall & low gearing"

Would 2400 stall and 3.44s fall into high stall and low gearing category. I do like the idea of mechanical secondaries. Not too concerned on gas mileage.
